History

42 McCleery Street was placed on the Fremantle Municipal Inventory on 18 September 2000 and the Heritage List in 2007.
In a review of the MHI in 2010 the place was recommended for deletion because the heritage listed building had been demolished.
In 2019 Council resolved to formally remove 42 McCleery Street from the Heritage List and to change its management category from Level 3 to Historic Record Only due to the legitimate demolition of its significant features.
