Although very little remains the site of the Old Doodlakine Townsite has considerable historic significance for its role in the development of the district especially along the Old Goldfields Road.

Doodlakine-Kununoppin Road, all that remains of the old Doodlakine Townsite are some foundations and a low brick wall.
