Water supply for the area.
Rock catchment area.
In December 1924, as part of the water resource planning in the area, De-eranning was set aside for a catchment area and resumed from G W Maddock with no compensation. The water authorities proposed to charge the local farmers, and had them sign an undertaking before construction began on the water catchment. It was completed on 4 March 1926, and a sign warned that non subscribers could not obtain water and as trespassers, would be prosecuted. It was opened on 26 June 1926. The rating system was cancelled in 1931 when depression circumstances meant that even the subscribers could not pay. In 1938, the tank ran empty, and again in 1954 and 1958.
