History

Until 1965 the Anglican services were held in the Lake Biddy Hafl, and in the early days, conducted by the Bush Brotherhood. Reverend Gibson initiated a cropping program to raise funds for a church. Son Lloyd and J Lloyd loaned land for the program over three seasons.
On 10 July 1965 the Bishop of Bunbury opened the church. The Church of St Stephens commemorates Reverend Stephens and the services to the district, including the United Sunday School for kids while the parents enjoyed their sports on a Sunday.
