Statement of Significance

The building has social significance through the contribution of the Christian Borthers to the education of the community. The architectural character of the buildings demonstrates the style of permanent school buildings established by the Church in the 1880's and 1890's.

Physical Description

This large rendered masonry building of cruciform plan was constructed in 1882 and originally served the Christian Brothers as a school. Modern renovations have brightened the paint colours and produced an out-of-character roof covering.
