In 1907 !he firs! policeman was stationed in Hopetoun and in 1910 additions to the building were carried out.
The key of the cell was left with the postmaster in case of prisoner transfer from Ravensthorpe to go to
Albany by boat.
In 1913, the police station closed and the furnishings were taken to Ravensthorpe. It was then rented out and
one of the tenants was the caretaker from the Railway Department.
Integrity: House and Lock-Up. Now incorporated into one
dwelling.
