The decorated facade of the building with its rich entablature is illustrative of 1890s Gold Boom period and is one of the first buildings constructed after the Boom in Fremantle. It is thus of importance to the townscape of Fremantle.
A single stoery brick and stone office building with rough foundation stones, arched windows and a very rich entablature including a pediment and shell and wheel patterns. Also there are some fine internal features including a wooden ceiling.
