This place is an example of an early building in the area and is representative of development north of the railway line within Bayswater. The place has historic value for its association with
Gold Estates, one of the most prominent land developers within Bayswater at the time.
Timber frame and jarrah weatherboard house with sides and rear clad with fibre cement sheeting. The corrugated iron hip roof vents at the peaks and there is a separate roof over the verandah that extends across the front and down one side.
This low wooden verandah has full height wooden posts with ornamental brackets at the top and linked with an open picket balustrade. It is currently enclosed at one end with latticework screening. The central half glazed front door has top and side lights and is flanked by triple wood casement windows either side.
The double allotment on which this house was built was owned by L A and A J Wells from c.1917 and they took up residence c.1919.
