A fine example of a colonial weatherboard cottage.
A weatherboard cottage in "Georgian Revival" style built between 1895-1901. The boarding is
Edwardian profile although the house style is pnmarily Victorian Georgian with symmetrical placement of
parts. Hipped zincalume roof with separate dropped pitch roof to verandah on front and east sides.
Wooden railing and square chamfered posts enclose these sides. The posts have decorative wooden
corbels. Lattice to front nghthand bay encloses a section of the verandah. The tall brick chimney stack is
corbelled and decorated with string courses of render. The hipped roof is U shaped with a skillion
behind. Front door has plain glass lights to the side and above. The windows are double hung. A hand
rail has champfered balusters below. Interesting timber detailing includes brackets to door, architrave
and decorative carved wooden rondels. The garden is currently enclosed by a brushwood fence.
In 1905 Henry Potter a carpenter owned the building.
