This is an example of a modern pre-school building designed for functionality, aesthetic pleasure and the Australian climate. It has served a generation of Mosman Park children and continues to be both practical and attractive.
A brick building with very large windows and a low pitched, orange tiled roof. Wide verandahs on the north and part of the east sides have uncut log posts. The ceiling has exposed beams and south facing, skylight windows. Most of the internal space is occupied by a single, large activity room, with office, stores and bathrooms to the side. The building is set in large garden with mature trees and play equipment.
A previous building on this site was a former U.S. Navy building moved here from Fremantle in 1947 and re-erected by local volunteers.
