The site represents the beginnings of the Dudinin Tennis Club.
Original "anthill" courts, and later clay courts. A bush shed and a corrugated iron tea
shed were on the site.
The history of tennis is that of a social fun and family
activity. Tennis courts were evident throughout the district at private homes and in small community
centres.
The Dudinin courts were built by volunteer community labour. In 1958 the tennis club was relocated
for the forthcoming season, to combine with the football club facilities. The tea shed was relocated to
the football ground and dedicated to Tom Gray.
