The place demonstrates a way of life associated with the Catholic congregation.
The place is constructed of red face bricks. The pavillion like building has a low pitched gable roof and wide external brick piers delineating each bay of the structure. A return front porch has a flat cantilevered roof protruding over a ground level brick flower box. A simple white cross from the roof signifies the building is a church.
Catholic Mass had been celebrated in the Bind Bindi area since 1901, at various homes and later at the Indarries School. Whenthe school relocated to Bindi Bindi, mass was held at the Joyce's home until 1934 when the venue changed to the Bindi Bindi Hall. Mass was celebrated regularly at the hall, this church was built. Father Hynes commenced the Catholic Church building fund in 1948. The church was blessed and opened by Reverend Gomez in the Centenary years of Lourdes, on 30th November 1958.
