Statement of Significance

The site is significant in representing a way of life in a town that no longer exists.

History

c1919 Mr T Alford (from Ardath) opened the first shop in Bilbarin. His daughter was married in the front room of the shop. Mr Percy Zeplin later took over the shop. The shop also operated the Bilbarin Post Office. It closed in 1976.
