Condition
Predominantly a two storey brick and iron building, 'U' shaped plan, originally with two storey verandah facing onto Helena Street. The building has two sets of stairs, one internally at the southern end of the building and an external stair on the east side of the building accessed off a two storey verandah. Internally the ground floor has been modified by opening up the original small areas to cater for the changing needs and methods of servicing the public in the public bar areas. The upper floor is composed of smaller rooms consisting of bedrooms, lounge and bathrooms serving the needs of guests staying in the hotel and catering for the acccommodation needs of the town and its location as a midway point out of Perth and the country. A number of single storey additions mainly housing ablution facilites have been added to the rear of the building.
