Physical Description

House, 129 Holland Street is a single storey timber and Zincalume house constructed in the Inter-War Californian Bungalow style of architecture. The house is asymmetrical and walls are clad in painted weatherboards. The verandah has a gabled roof lined with weatherboard lining and timber brackets. The verandah is supported by square timber posts over weatherboard clad balustrading. There is an Zincalume clad awning over the timber framed window of the front projecting room. There is a face brick and pier fence with painted timber picket infill to the front boundary.

History

The first occupant of the house was Thomas O’Sullivan. From 1941 the occupant was William J Sullivan, who was still there until at least 1949 (when post office directory records cease). Aerial photos show that between 1995 and 1999 the house was extended to the rear.
