Statement of Significance

The place demonstrates a way of life associated with rural women.

Physical Description

The pavillion has a corrugated iron gable roof. The building extends across the site with the length along the street frontage. The timber framed building is elevated off the ground by milled timber stumps and clad with fibro cement sheets with battens. The front facade is balance with three sets of timber framed windows and a set of two glazed timber framed doors.

History

The Bindi Bindi Branch of the CWA was formed on 6th August 1933 at a meeting attended by 19 foundation members, the office bearers were; President B Lefroy, Vice Presidents A Rodereda and Mrs Schier, Secretary Mrs J Brian and Treasurer Mrs C Spencer. The rooms were officailly opened on 18th march 1965, by Mrs Marjorie Maughan, the State President of the CWA.
