Statement of Significance

The building is important for its uniqueness and its architectural character.

Physical Description

Two-storey building with two-storey street front verandah, typical of similar commercial premises of that period (pre-Federation). Unsympathetic additions detract from its appearance but the original street facade has been maintained with minimal change.

Gingin Hotel is the only surviving Hotel in Gingin and has operated continually since it opened. Its success has owed much to its site opposite the Railway Station.
