Building forms part of the remnant building stock which make up the historic town's fabric.
Single-storey brick and tile residence c.1930s.
House built for Mr Frank Anderson, stepson of Mr Strelley-Harris of Rainsworth, Middle Swan Road. Mr Anderson built house for his marriage with Miss Eunice Kingsbury. They had two children - Patricia and Colin. Mr E. Anderson became Mayor of Guildford in 1959. His stepsister Gwen donated the Mayoral Chain to Guildford Municipality.
