House, 133 Marmion Street is a single storey timber and zincalume house constructed in the Federation Bungalow style of Architecture. The walls are timber framed and clad with painted timber boards to dado height and fibrous cement sheeting above. The roof is hipped and gabled and clad with zincalume. There is a chimney and chimney pot evident. The verandah/porch is under the main gable rood supported by timber posts, and has a further aluminium awning protruding. The balustrade is cement sheeting infill. The asymmetrical front façade has one front room with three timber framed casement windows under a zincalume awning. The facade under the verandah roof has a door and another set of timber framed windows. The house is situated at street level. There is a limestone fence to half of the front boundary line.
A 1996 colour photo shows the house to have low weatherboard walls with rendered fibro above, with a central front door and windows either side. There is a corrugated iron roof with a porch that extends in a hipped section over the door and the right hand side of the front wall. The house is advertised as having floorboards throughout, high ornate ceilings, leadlight doors, an open fire and 4 bedrooms.
High degree of integrity (original intent clear, current use compatible, high long term sustainability). High degree of authenticity with much original fabric remaining. (These statements based on street survey only).
Condition assessed as good (assessed from streetscape survey only).
