Statement of Significance

The building is significant on the following grounds: HISTORIC/SOCIAL: 1. The local meeting place and the heart of the community. The first brick building in Highbury. 2. The only remaining hotel in the Shire. 3. Because of the age of the building, tourists are interested in coming to find out the local history.

Physical Description

Painted brick exterior with walled cement verandah and brick and timber pillars. Iron roof covered with aluminium coated tiles. Asbestos addition at rear to house storeroom and bathroom.
