Masonic Hall (fmr) is aesthetically pleasing as an example of the Federation Free classical style. It has an unusual combination of face-cut stone, classical motifs and moulding and overall contributes to the streetscape and townscape character of Northam. It has social significance, for the associations with Freemasons in Northam, and in recent times as a restaurant.
Single storey masonry (blue stone) construction. The main facade has an irregular coursed stone parapet wall with two light coloured stone string courses. There are white square pilasters and quoin edging to complement the cornice mouldings which cap the parapet wall. A part of the wall which extends towards the street is embellished with an entablature and small spherical finials.
