Statement of Significance

The Waterfall is of social significance, demonstrating community effort in the construction of a project which is of value to tourism.

Physical Description

The waterfall comprises a mound, lined with stone, with an overhanging concrete slab over which water flows and drops into a shallow pool below. There are steps of railway sleepers leading to a look-out at the top of the mound. Around the top of the mound there is a pipe and cyclone mesh fence; around the pool is a pipe and chain barrier. There is a free standing sign at the foot of the steps that says the,Waterfall was built by the Merredin Museum and Historical Society, with assistance from the Lotteries Commission and is dedicated to pioneer women on the centenary of the rail.
