History

The place is one of four notable residences of the time built in jarrah. The others were the Me Neil's 'The Cliffe', Keane's 'Keane's Point' and the Robert Bunning's house. 'Como' was built by Francis Brady, Manager of Millar's Timber and Trading. The house typifies the results of the new wealth generated by the timber of the south-west at this time. Considerable historical significance. The place is a textbook example of Federation Bungalow with its dominant gambrel roof and crippled verandahs. The crossed decoration adds lightness and vitality to the timber joinery. A high level of integrity.
