Statement of Significance

The place has been a significant communication and meeting place since 1950. It adds to the townscape of Bolgart as a representative example of 1950s development in the town.

Physical Description

Timber framed and asbestos clad with a hipped corrugated iron roof.

History

Mrs Anderson was the post mistress when the Post office was run from the Co-op, until 1950. At that time, Mr & Mrs Anderson took the post office franchise and built a new post office and store at this site in George St. The place still operates as a post office.
