History

Yanchep Lime Company had started operations by 1939 and continued until c1970. Joe Hribar, who migrated from Yugoslavia, operated the site, and consequently many of the workers came from the same region. By 1968 it was listed a Yanchep Lime and Ready Lime Putty, which was a Menchetti company. This was probably the consequence of a merger of small companies in the 1960s in an endeavour to prevent takeover by Swan Portland Cement.
