History

Charles and Ada Pond came to the west from Victoria in 1897, and after spending some time in Kalgoorlie, and share-farming with his brother-in-law Frank Smith ('Hazeldene' in Bendering), he took up his own property in 1925. The property had formerly been owned by Harry Narroway. Pond was Chairman of the hospital committee in 1927, and was one roads board member who voted against the construction of the new Kondinin Hall in 1933.
