Statement of Significance

This building is of a unique style rare in Fremantle and the upper floor is still in fine condition. It has therefore been classified for its architectural interest as well as for its contribution to the streetscape.

Physical Description

A richly decorated brick and stucco two storey building with some byzantine influences. It features pilasters in triples with spherical capitals and flat pointed arches and a uniquely decorated entablature. However the architectural purity has been lost with unsympathetic additions to the ground floor.
