Statement of Significance

Although modified with later additions, the original well-designed 1938 building is still clearly evident and retains its aesthetic character as a dominant aspect of the appearance of the whole building. The Albany Fire Station and Fire Officer's House is a unique example of the genre in Western Australia. It is also the only distinctive Art Deco styled building with the City of Albany.
