The buildings appear to be related to an old miner's homestead, being originally a house with two tool sheds, a generator shed, windmill, water storage tank and stand. The house is three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom constructed of asbestos walls and roof.

The Cue Cemetery has high social significance for its association with the district’s residents. Although the cemetery is still in use, some of the headstones date back to the turn of the previous century affording the place historic significance as well.
Located to the south-west of the town, this large cemetery is surrounded by a star picket and wire fence and features a double entry gate. It contains many headstones, metal decorative surrounds and mounds and is divided into different religious sections. Landscaping works have been undertaken to create a formalised forecourt area and a series of crushed granite paths that run through the cemetery and divide the religious sections.

The former Cue Battery and Office have historic significance for their association with the mining industry in the town. The place has added significance due to its close proximity to the town. The Office building has high landmark value and is a very visible structure on the southern entry into Cue.
All that remains of the Cue Battery are some concrete and timber foundations, large water tanks on timber stands and a timber framed corrugated iron clad shed. Immediately north of the Battery site is the former Battery Office which is now in a poor state of repair. This timber framed structure is completely clad with corrugated iron and has a hipped roof with a mono-pitch verandah roof. A rear lean-to roof is attached to the rear with a metal chimney to the west elevation.
The Cue Battery originally opened on 19 September, 1919. Initially it was a 5 head battery but was later increased to 10. It crushed ore until the mid 1950s and was burned down in the 1960s.

The Old Cemetery has considerable historic and social significance as the burial place for several early pioneers of the Cue district.
Located immediately east of Cue, this small cemetery contains only two headstones and several mounds. Iron railings decorate one grave. The cemetery is surrounded by a wire fence.Bodies were relocated from a grave site in Wittenoom Street in 1898 to this site when the railway came to Cue.

Constructed from 1897
The Race Course has considerable social and historic significance as evidence of what was a very popular pastime throughout the Murchison District.
The racecourse was situated immediately north-west of the town and included two corrugated iron and timber structures – a tote office and committee rooms, which were built around the turn of the previous century. Both buildings were in poor condition in 1995 and since been demolished. The grandstand, which stood adjacent, has been demolished although the foundations remain.
The Murchison Goldfields Racing Club was established in 1803. By 1897 there was a grandstand of sorts and a totaliser headquarters described as “...a well built structure with a row of skilful cashiers sitting behind a wire netting...” [G. Hope, p58] Situated about two miles north-west of the town, a newspaper report described the setting: “The track is egg shaped and measures a distance of 1 mile 160 yards, and has been cleared about 1 chain wide...Coming down the straight a nice looking picket fence has been erected for a distance of three chains....A space has been fenced off below the judge’s box and weighing rooms, secretary’s and committee rooms erected....Outside the weighing enclosure the totaliser has been erected...The grandstand is erected on a small hillock, and from it one will have an excellent view of the course, and situated as it is the most exciting of the finishes can be correctly watched...A long line of stabling has been provided and large tent for the “jocks” erected. [Murchison Times and Day Dawn Gazette, 27/10/1897, p2]

The Railway Ramp and Crane have historic significance for their association with the construction and operation of the railway. Combined with the former Railway Station [Site No. 28}, the Railway Barracks [Site No. 29] and the Station Master’s House [Site No. 30], the Ramp and Crane contribute to a precinct which illustrates the role and importance of the railway to the Cue township.
Located immediately north of the former Railway Station [Site No. 28], the ramp is of timber and cement construction and features a crane to the southern end. The crane is constructed of steel, painted yellow and stands on cement and stone foundations.

The Cue townsite, comprising a number of public and private buildings constructed from stone, weatherboard and corrugated galvanised iron has heritage significance for the following reasons: • The place is one of the few remaining gold rush towns which, to a large extent, has retained its original setting with over 100 buildings and sites on the Municipal Inventory; • The centre of town retains high integrity and authenticity since it was built in the late 19th century, and the main street, Austin Street has been classified by the National Trust as a significant historical precinct; • Many of the buildings in town were built in the late 19th century, early 20th century and have remained largely intact since the town was settled; • Cue’s buildings including the Masonic Lodge, Gentleman’s Club and private residences made innovative use of local materials and craftsmanship; • Cue was home to several of the largest gold-mining companies in the world during the late 19th – early 20th centuries and made a significant contribution to the State’s economy; • Herbert Hoover, the United States President from 1929 to 1933, spent several years in and around Cue as an employee of the mining company, Bewick Moreing & Company which had an office in the town; • Cue has in recent times, promoted itself as a centre for history, heritage and culture with programs and events such as ‘QFest’, winning several awards and was announced as Western Australia’s official Heritage Ambassador for 2004; • Cue was the commercial and administrative centre of the Murchison region and was home of the first bank in the region which demonstrates its importance as a commercial centre in more prosperous times.
