The Houses 20 Roxwell Way have historic social and aesthetic significance as a typical exammple of late twentieth century public housing within the City of Wanneroo..
HOUSES 20 ROXWELL WAY are located at Lot 133, Girrawheen within the City of Wanneroo's South Ward. The development comprises of 10 single units and 3 quadruplex (4 attached units each) which are arranged both sides of the crescent configuration of Roxwell Way. The single storey houses are built from dark brown face brick with tile roofs and aluminium framed windows. There are trees extant including eucalyptus and metal fencing dividing and fronting the houses.
'Girrawheen' is an eastern states Aboriginal word meaning 'place of flowers' and was established in 1970 as a predominantly public housing suburb. The 10 single units and 3 quadruplex units at 20 Roxwell Way were developed by Homeswest (formerly State Housing Commission of Western Australia) for public rental accommodation for low to moderate income families in Girrawheen within the City of Wanneroo. Construction of the cluster development (as described on the site plan) was approved in 1980. Currently (2004), Houses, 20 Roxwell Way are owned and managed by the Department of Housing and Works (DHW) and continue to be occupied for public housing.

East Wanneroo School (Site) has historic significance representing the development and settlement of Wanneroo, and also the provision of education in the State. Despite its demolition/relocation of the building the site has value to the community as a reminder of its role and contribution to the historical development of Wanneroo.
Site Only - The one room classroom established her in 1904 has been relocated to Perry's Paddock (P9484) in 1992.
In August 1904 a one classroom school which became known as 'Jandabup' was established at East Wanneroo. It was the third Government school in the district built here in 1904 on the east side of Badgerup Rd. About 15-18 students attended.Students numbered nine girls and seven boys and the first teacher was Robert Burns who was then followed by Francis Cockman. The school closed in 1926 and the students were transferred to Wanneroo. In 1928 the school was relocated to the Wanneroo School site at the corner of Wanneroo Road and Dundebar Road. The Wanneroo School closed in 1959. (Chambers & Aris) The old school was relocated to Perry's Paddock in 1992 due to the realignment of Wanneroo Road.
