Constructed from 1910
Early settlement and decline of small townsites.
Begun as a temporary Townsite with requests for permanancy made as early as 1910. The Townsite lots were surveyed and Gazetted on 26th May 1911. The lots were thrown open in 1913 but by 1930 only four had been sold. It was not a residential town but did have a school, Co-Operative and an Agricultural Hall. The railway siding became the site for the CBH Bin c1933, demolished 1959 and replaced with a new bin also demolished in 1985. Very little left of the Townsite, a few piles of rubble and a derelict station platform and sign on the railway. The school site is marked.

Constructed from 1871, Constructed from 1854
Part of the well system on the Old Goldfields Road.
A stone lined well about 2 metres in diameter, Shallow at this time but may have been deeper in the earlier days.
Robert Ausitn led an expidition in the area in 1854 and made mention of Benjaberring Spring and Well. John Forrest passed through in 1869 and mention is made by him of the well as Pingerperring. James Sinclair took a lease on the land where the well is situated but although this became private property, the well was made avaliable to travellers and people in the district, There were two wells on the site close to eachother, but one was filled in and the other reconstructed but still on private land. The Benjaberring Spring is located on land diagonally across the road junction from the well.
Good Degree- as far as can be determined from records.
Average - Has been reconstructed and cleaned out.

Constructed from 1930
A major water source in the Cowcowing District.
A large earth dam with concrete channels to bring water from the surronding catchment area. The dam was built below the surrounding area and covered with a corrugated iron roof supported on a wooden frame.
Built during the Depression years and in use until the 1970's. A pump run by a Lister Diesel engine was used to raise the water from the Dam to a standpipe close to the road. Water was used by farmers and carted in tankers. If the town of Cowcowing had been built, this would have been the water supply.
Poor- there has been little or no maintenance since it was last used. The roof has collapse and a quantity of roofing mateial has been remove leavint the rest to the elements. The diesel motor has been removed and is in the CBH Museum in town.

Constructed from 1908
This place is significant due to it's age and the fact that it is one of only two mining enterprises in a Shire relying manily on Wheat, Grain and Sheep Farming.
This is a surface deposit operation and is located northwest of the old location 274 on what were a row of islands
In 1908, a lease was given to Annie Emmanuel. No Mining took place and the lease was cancelled in 1914. Krug took a lease in 1910 and removed about 1 tonne from a location in Denny's Crossing. Rebecca Nathan took a lease on 5000 acres in 1913. Annie Emmanuel died in 1914 and various solicitors were involved with her estate and companies involved with Rebecca Nthan. The Western Australian Plaster of Paris and Gypsum Co. Ltd. (Secy Mrs R Nathan) wanted the Emmanuel leases and eventually produced Plaster of Paris in the area c1917. This was probably close to the border of Koorda Shire or even in that shire. From 1918 to 1957 nothing much seemed to have happened until Bill Hewitt took out a 45 acre lease on Lake Cowcowing in 1957 and started to mine Gypsum. There have been changes since then, but the mine is still working after passing through various hands.
The original area is long gone but as the mining is over a large area, it must be considered to be a good representation of the original area.
The area is "untidy" but thisis normal for a mining operation of this type.
