Significant for its architectural character: two storey Victorian style house with verandahs typical classical detailing and cast iron lacework. And for its association with persons prominent in the history of the state

Physical Description

Large, two storey Victorian style house with verandahs classical detailing and cast iron lacework. Rendered stone walls, corrugated iron roof. Excellent spiral cast iron staircase. Windows restored with Victorian diamond transfers.

History

Built in 1886 as the house of Albert Young Hassell, West Australian parliamentarian and delegate for the Constitutional Convention of 1897 - 98.
