The site represents a point of meeting for early settlers.
Large high walled dam surrounded by swamp oaks.
The government established dams and wells at regular intervals throughout the country side to provide a water supply for the settlers, stock and travellers. The dam was put down in 1932 as a water supply for the trains, previously the water was pumped from the lake and swamps, into the long overhead tanks. In 1965 scheme water was connected to Yealering town.
