The place is a brick and rendered concrete hall constructed in 1958 built to provide a gathering and function space for the Buntine community. Designed by architects Cameron Chisolm & Nicol, the building has elements of the Inter-War Functionalist style. The hall was also used for church services and as a kindergarten from 1968 to 1970. The building comprises a stage, two coat rooms, and kitchen facilities. This building replaced an earlier community hall in the area, built in 1919 , but it is unclear whether the former hall was located on the same site as Buntine Hall.
