Statement of Significance

Including Monger's Store, Old Bakery, Sandalwood Yard and Wagon Yard and Horse Stalls. It is
the only known complex associated with the sandalwood industry in Western Australia that
remains extant. The Wagon Yards and Horse Stalls have particular social value as they were the
subject of community action in 1980 to ensure their conservation.

Physical Description

Some sections seem in a dangerous state. Remains do not indicate the original appearance of the yard,
some of the later additions are not in character with the original building.
The store is absorbed in alterations and out of character additions, the Sandalwood yards have been
reduced to half the size and what has been kept has been so changed by modern enclosure and alteration
that the original character of a courtyard surrounded by a roofed but open cloister has been destroyed.

Integrity/Authenticity

Integrity: Later additions taken away from this

Condition

Poor- Almost derelict
